Tutorial: Make Your Own Chia Pet
I grew up with the Chia Pet fad. As a matter of fact, it became popular again a few years ago… my two youngest had to have Chia Pets of their own. They took care of it for a couple of days then it was my turn for the next… ever. They enjoyed watching it go from no hair to tons of hair. Well, online I found a craft on how to make your own Chia Pet. I found this Chia Pet craft at Crafts Unleashed and it is simply adorable. They make it from pantyhose, grass seed, soil and a few other fun craft materials. The result is phenomenal.
You fill your pantyhose with grass seed and soil. Then once that is done you tie the open end and shape the hose into a ball. Then the fun part begins…. you add a face to your pantyhose. You can even do what they did and add a tail. How cute!! They explain that the possibilities are endless so decorate your Chia Pet however way you feel fit. Let the kids use their imagination.
Remember to water your Chia Pet every day. And, it is best to keep it under a warm light for the best results. Now, sit back and watch your little Chia Pet grow some hair. This will be so much fun!!
