Parental Craft : Making Your Child a Cardboard Toy Kitchen

Parental Craft : Making Your Child a Cardboard Toy Kitchen

Source: Craftster.org

Anna from Forty Two Roads has posted pictures on  of the toy kitchen that she made her little girl. This kitchen has turned out so amazingly good that it looks as if it was manufactured in a factory. The kitchen is made up entirely out of recycled corrugated cardboard boxes. This is a great example of upcycling (using recycled materials to make something useful). Can you believe it? She then took the cardboard and covered it is contact paper to make each piece stronger and more durable. There are no staples, glue, nails, or tape involved. Everything is put together in a slit and slot technique. If you ever need to move the toy kitchen, you can take it apart and put it back together in another location. In this play kitchen there is a sink, stove, oven, and a shelf / refrigerator section. This toy play kitchen is simply amazing and you can use it for inspiration to make your children the same (or similar) play kitchen.
